tony

Hello and welcome to Musicstreet.  I have always been involved with guitars in one way or another having taught guitar from when left school and regular gigging from the age of 16 in various function bands. In 1997 I joined 'Machinehead music guitar shop Hitchin' originally as as a part time demonstrator, learning a lot about MI retail and meeting a great bunch of people along the journey including mentor the late Jeff Pumfrett (indebted for his guidance).

Fast forward to 2014 when I set up Musicstreet. Here with a small team of likeminded guitar enthusiasts we still put customer service at the forefront of our business, every guitar is setup in our workshop prior to sale to the customers specification. Our prices are always competitive and where we can we give you rewards points to spend with us on essential gear.

Call in and say hi, try some great guitars in our relaxed store.. there's always finance options if you can't afford your dream guitar outright.... Cheers for now, Tony

the boys are back in town

iI seems a lifetime ago, Jason used to run Machinehead in Harlow Essex and for years i've been telling him to move this way and come and work with me again. Although still very much 'out on the road' doing tours and theatres with various artists, Jason has got straight back into the game as if he'd never left.. ok the gear is a little different and alot more expensive but Jason still knows how to get a great sound out of a shoebox with some elastic bands tied to it.

Tim, also ex 'Machinehead' has joined the team during recent times while tours are 'on hold', normally a touring session musician for many artists and usually seen on the big stages during festivals.  He is not only a great guitar player & Bass player but super creative and a connoisseur of artist coffee.
Tim is often seen playing festivals with Sister Sledge or Tony Hadley amongst others

Tom \9also ex machinehead Hitchin.. there's a pattern emerging) joined us again just before covid during his downtime from touring, he has a wealth of knowledge about guitar & bass gear, lots of stories about life on the road and loves old guitars especially with Gibson or Fender on the headstock. now back out with his longterm childhood friend James Bay
