Like many guitars from Ibanez, the RG421 2018 is designed for unlimited playability for demanding players. The RG421 has a neck specification aimed at high-performance, speed and comfortability. It features a Wizard III maple neck that is thin, flat and smooth, yet strong and sturdy, allowing for easy and comfortable playing. The fretboard features 24 jumbo frets, allowing for a wide tonal range. The neck features a 400mmR radius, which sits comfortably in your hand when playing.
The body features a uniquely sculpted shape that has been designed for unrestricted playing. This allows you to pull out those full-blown power chords and high speed riffs without the fear of the guitar digging into you. The neck joint is cut in perfectly, allowing you to easily access the highest notes. With a body constructed with mahogany, the guitar produces tones that are exceptionally balanced and offer plenty of depth. The mahogany construction means the guitar is also lightweight and durable.
The Ibanez RG421 is equipped with a pair of Ibanez Quantum pickups. The pickups are designed to offer you a range of tones, letting you achieve the perfect sound. The two humbuckers provide an accelerated bass response, ideal for punchy rhythm riffs, with crushing mids and high-end articulation for high-speed staccatos, ideal for rock and metal styles. They allow you to shred with a crunchy sound that is full, tight and still cuts through the mix.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for Electric Guitar and Bass players, pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars and basses have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980's that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
