A second hand and wood condition Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar. It has a few knocks and dings in the finish and some scratches, but nothing to affect the playability of the guitar.

The Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar, in Olympic White, is based on Johnny's 1965 Jaguar with a plethora of thoughtful additions making it a highly playable guitar. The Johnny Marr Jaguar is loaded with vintage-inspired design touches including both the aesthetics and the playing specifications. The neck has a custom profile with vintage frets and 7.25'' radius for an authentic '60s feel. The body is subtly altered from the standard Jaguar for a more refined feel and is finished in an authentic vintage nitrocellulose lacquer, with its excellent breathability and potential to age gracefully. The guitar includes custom-wound Bare Knuckle pickups for a balanced response and includes the standard Jaguar 4-way switching and additional bright switches for added tonal sculpting. The bridge features a nylon post and tremolo insert for excellent stability without the tremolo arm swinging loose. This is a thoughtfully designed guitar, specified by a highly experienced working musician; the Johnny Marr signature Jaguar provides a vintage feel with modern tonality and construction standards.

About Johnny Marr

Johnny Marr is an iconic guitarist known for his dynamic guitar playing and arranging in The Smiths. He has transferred his playing into many other groups with stints performing with The The, the Pretenders, Modest Mouseand the Cribs. He has also developed a solo career and made numerous guest appearances.

Johnny demands a guitar capable of creating soundscapes and layered sounds with versatility and clarity. The Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar is based on Johnny's 1965 Jaguar with some highly thoughtful additions and attention to detail in its specifications.

Jaguar Body

The Johnny Marr signature guitar features the classic Jaguar body with its distinct offset body shape. The contours are subtly altered for a more comfortable playing feel, and the guitar is finished in true nitrocellulose lacquer; this was the original finish on vintage Fender guitars and had an ability of letting the wood 'breathe' and resonate more fully. The lacquer also aged gracefully rather than chipping and flaking with age.

Vintage Inspired Neck

The Johnny Marr signature Jaguar includes a neck specification based on Johnny's '65 Jaguar. It has a custom-profile, along with vintage sized frets and 7.25'' radius. These specifications lend it a comfortable and authentically vintage feel.

Bare Knuckle Pickups

The Bare Knuckle custom-wound single coil pickups are voiced for Johnny Marr's specific requirements. They provide brightness and clarity with the nuanced sweetness that can be only achieved through single coils. The pickups are the perfect platform for soundscape creation and for playing densely voiced chords whilst maintaining individual note focus.

Multiple Switching

The Johnny Marr signature guitar features a simpler version of the Jaguar 4-way switching to increase its practicality and ease of use. It gives the capability to use various combinations of pickups, both in series and parallel, providing a very wide range of tonalities to choose from. A master volume and tone provide an easy way to sculpt the overall sound, while 2 bright switches (1 master and 1 for a single pickup position) give you even more tonal shaping options. These combinations really expand the potential of the Bare Knuckle pickups.

Vintage Hardware

This Jaguar includes a re-designed Jaguar bridge, giving it the same looks but with a more reliable performance. It includes Mustang® saddles, nylon post inserts and a nylon tremolo arm sleeve. These additional features provide a more stable action with increased tuning stability. The nylon sleeve ensures that the tremolo will remain in position when un-touched. The tremolo arm is also taller than standard.
