Texas Special Single-Coil & Duncan JB Jr. Pickups

The signature Stratocaster features a set of powerful pickups, with a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. humbucker at the bridge and Fender’s Texas special single-coil in the middle position. The JB Jr. is a single-coil sized humbucker, designed with ceramic magnets to deliver a high-output for crunchy chords and screaming leads. The humbucker breathes new life into the bridge position, offering a classic upper mid cut, bright harmonic sparkle, and a tight focused low-end. Fernandes Sustainer Driver

The Fernandes sustainer driver is a unique way to enhance your playing experience, featuring patented technology to provide total control over the guitar’s level of sustain and feedback. Offering a driver at the neck pickup position, the sustainer generates a magnetic field to vibrate the strings to create infinite sustain and feedback on clean or distorted settings. Its unique design allows players to saturate their sound with texture and tonal colouring at any volume, offering controls to adjust the level of vibrations to create swells or a gradual decay of sustain. The sustainer also features 3 modes to choose from, allowing players to either rise the sustained notes to the 5th harmonic, keep them at the natural fundamental tone, or blend between the two to create a harmonised feedback effect.

Narrow Tall Frets

Another addition to this model are the 21 narrow tall frets, which are mounted on the maple fingerboard and provides incredible comfort when performing slides. Being slightly narrower than standard medium jumbo frets, the narrow tall frets are incredible effective for bending notes and playing chords with superb intonation.

Resonant Synthetic Bone Nut

Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the Fender Strat delivers an increased resonance and bright tonality. About Ed O’Brien

Edward John O'Brien is an English guitarist known for his extensive work in the alternative rock band Radiohead. Born in 1968, Ed’s love for music started at a young age, listening to a lot of post-punk acts before joining up with fellow Radiohead band members/class mates while attending Abingdon school. Originally called 'On a Friday', the group signed a six-album contract with EMI in 1991, and have recorded 9 studio albums so far. Ed’s playing style relies heavily on extensive use of effects units to create atmospheric sounds and textures, resulting in a completely unique setup to reflect his incredible guitar work.
